“…la PINTURA/DESPINTURA, es literal y metafóricamente la acción de descarapelar con violencia las capas de contenido que nos construimos como superficie para los demás; y consecuentemente transformar esta ilusión – convertida – en – materia a una cosa tangible que va más allá de la imagen*. Hoy, cuando la imaginación colectiva está conformada por millones de imágenes prefabricadas sin sentido alguno más que continuar la tendencia del hiperconsumo, lo que se ve, dejó de ser realidad hace mucho…. El espectador es testigo de la exploración que por lo general se queda en el estudio, tras bambalinas. Los objetos que conforman cada pieza (la pintura despintada y la despintura) deberán de exhibirse en donde se relacionan, en donde se observe que uno viene del otro por la mera composición cromática de los mismos y los gestos agresivos de construcción en ambas…”  D.R.

Today, when the collective imagination is made up of millions of prefabricated images with no meaning whatsoever other than continuing the trend of hyperconsumption, what is seen ceased to be reality long ago…. The viewer witnesses the exploration that usually stays behind the scenes in the studio. The objects that make up each piece (the despintura and unpainted painting) should be exhibited where they are related, where it is observed that one comes from the other due to their mere chromatic composition and the aggressive construction gestures in both… ” D.R.
